Jason Shenai is a London based photographer. He has worked for a wide variety of clients particularly in the editorial and design fields. Regular clients have included The Observer Magazine , The Telegraph, Penguin Books, National Magazines and Wolff Olins. Jason’s work has been exhibited in various solo shows, including at Sadlers Wells, Royal Festival Hall and Judd Street Gallery. Jason has been commissioned to take the photographs for three books by writer Paul Strang. The most recent of these – The Wines of Languedoc Roussillon (publ 2018) has just been awarded a Best in World Gourmand Award.
In 1992 Jason founded Inside Eye, a project helping prisoners in London’s Wandsworth Prison to document their lives through photography. This work has been exhibited many times, including at The Photographers’ Gallery, London. A ground-breaking book was also published, also called Inside Eye.
Jason ran the Documentary Photography module at Westminster University for a number of years and lectures at several other universities. Jason regularly reviews photographers’ portfolios at events such as Arles Festival. He is Photography Judge of the Koestler Trust.
Jason Shenai is founder and director of Millennium Images in London. Millennium sells reproduction rights in contemporary photography. It currently holds 70000 images by more than 1000 photographers (www.milim.com.) Jason has also established Milim Gallery, the prints sales side of Millennium (www.milimgallery.com.)
